Steps to download the Admit Card
Step-1 Click on the direct link below. It will open in a new tab of your browser.
Step-2 When the link is open, select the language of the admit card.
Step-3 Enter your roll registration number, date of birth and password.
Step-4 Click on the submit button.
Step-5 The admit card will be displayed on the screen.
Step-6 Cross check your details and check your exam date and center.
Step-7 Take out the printout of the Admit Card.

The Oriental Life Insurance Company was the first company in India offering life insurance coverage. It was established in Calcutta in 1818 by Anita Bhavsar. Its primary target market was the Europeans based in India.
Surendranath Tagore (son of Satyendranath Tagore) had founded Hindusthan Insurance Society, which later became Life Insurance Corporation.
The Bombay Mutual Life Assurance Society was the first native insurance provider. It was formed in 1870.

The Parliament of India passed the Life Insurance of India Act on June 19, 1956 creating the Life Insurance Corporation of India. LIC started operation from September 1956.
This consisted the merger of 154 life insurance companies, 16 foreign companies and 75 provident companies. That is a total of 245 private life insurers and other entities offering life insurance services.

LIC offers a variety of insurance products to its customers such as insurance plans, pension plans, unit-linked plans, special plans, group schemes, Online Child insurance Plans etc. being the most famous.
LIC has 8 zonal offices, 113 divisional offices, 2,048 branches and 992 satellite offices.
It also has 54 customer zones and 25 metro-area service hubs located in different cities and towns of India.
About LIC AAO
The Assistant Administrative Officer in LIC has many Administrative responsibilities. But before getting into details let me clarify a very common confusion.
LIC AAO is by NO means similar to the Apprentice Development Officer (ADO). They both are completely different posts

- Inspecting and analyzing currently running policies
- Planning new schemes/policies
- Claim Processing (Filing and Management)
- Interacting with clients and resolving their queries
- Communicating across departments
- Performing other duties, time to time, as specified by your officer-in-charge.

- Finance/Accounts or Business Department.
- Information Technology (IT) Department.
- Policy & Claim Servicing Department.
- Marketing or Sales Department.
- Inspection Department.
- Actuarial Department.
Basic pay of Rs. 17240/- per month in the scale of Rs. 17240- 840(14) –29000– 910(4) –32640 (Under Revision) and other admissible allowances as per rules. This sums upto Rs 40,245/- per month in ‘A’ Class city.
Vacancy of LIC AAO in 2016
Number of Vacancies: 700 Posts.
Exam Date: 5th, 6th and 13th March 2016.
Selection Procedure: Applications will be selected through candidate’s performance in Written Test and Personal Interview.
Exam Pattern: 160 questions for 300 marks and there will be negative marks of 0.25 for every wrong answer.
